Olive Tapenade

I absolutely adore olives! This tapenade is a delicious way to enjoy them. I love serving this as an appetizer with some bread, crackers, or vegetables. I love eating this as a yummy snack too! It is SO good and deliciously filling. The capers add a touch of brininess and the lemon juice brightens up the salty olives. Olives are a good, whole-food fat and contain some vitamins and minerals, along with certain phytonutrients. Enjoy this dip!

Olive Tapenade 2

1/2 cup kalamata olives
1/2 cup green olives
1 T. capers
2 cloves garlic
1 T. olive oil (optional)
1 t. lemon juice
1/4 t. black pepper or to taste

Place all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse ingredients until chunky, but not fine. I like to mince my garlic before placing it into the food processor so that no large chunks remain in the final product.
